Description:Antique Russian porcelain plate from The Farm Palace Banquet Service made by the Imperial Porcelain Factory, Saint Petersburg, 1891. The center of each plate decorated with a giltfloriated initial A beneath a gilt Imperial crown for Grand Duke Alexander Nikolaevich (the future Emperor Alexander II), the borders with profusely ornamented scrolls on a sky blue ground, the underside with green Imperial cipher of Alexander III dated [18]91. The foot of the plate with a gilt band as was typical of services made for the Imperial 3/4 in. (22.2 cm).
Condition:Great color, very good condition, some tiny wear to gilding consistent with age and use.
