Antique Russian Imperial Silver 84 Spoon Moscow 1893
This was handed down through my family, so I know it is a period piece.
The spoon is 6 1/2\" long and weighs 32 grams. The handle on the top side has fine engraving. On the bottom side there is extensive fine engraving on the head and handle.
The hallmark consists of the Maker\'s Mark \"PA\" (can\'t identify), the Assayers Mark \"A.A 1893\" (Anatoly Apollonovich Artsybashev), the purity mark \"84\" (84 v/o silver, equal to .875 silver or 87.5% by weight) and the Moscow City Mark.
The condition is generally very good (please see pictures for detailed condition), with clear engravings that have not significantly worn away. The one issue is that there is a crack on the reverse side of the handle, through the makers mark (should be visible in the photograph)
