Here is a beautiful pair of antique Russian silver and enamel tongs by Aleksandr Krivovichev, circa 1889 - 1908. The tongs are intricately decorated with red, blue, white, and light blue enamel. It is marked on the inside of the tongs with an \"AK\" in a square and then an \"88\" with a face to the right looking at it. The AK is Aleksandr Krivovichev\'s makers mark while the 88 with a face indicates it being made in Moscow. The 88 is the purity level of silver in Russian zolotnik\'s. 88 = 916.6/1000 parts silver (comparable to sterling silver, 925/1000). There are no visible damages to the piece.
