AntiqueRussian Orthodox icon from 1843 Moscow.The icon is hand painted on wood and decorated with 84 silver hands chased cover.Cover decorated with hand painted enamel details.Silver cover is not light, the silver gage is heavy releasedheigh.Wooden icon is painted all over with silver cover on the top.Paint on the face with burning spots, the hands also.Icon on the wood has some scratchesfrom the silver cover.Silver cover is gilded, top decoration halo is removable, and with minor losses.Silver hallmarks are on two spots, onthe halo, and on the icon, onthe bottom.Marks reeds B.K. Moscow, 84-second hallmarks on the halo have a similar hallmark with 1843Condition.Minor dents, scratches, holes fromthe nails on the sides.Back is cover with original fabric.Icon on the wood with burning spots and scratches.Minor silver losses on the silver halo.The icon is H.23cm. x L.18cm.x W.3cm.note: wides is not included readsilver decoration and silver halo.
