Up for sale is this stunning Capodimonte porcelain powder box. This box features very nice bronze mounts and beautifully done hand painting. The sides of the box are done in relief and painted with 4 different cherub scenes. The lid of the box features high relief painted with 2 women, a man, and a dog. Overall the painting and gold on this box is in good condition, there\'s some ware here and there that you\'d expect to see with age. This box is signed on the bottom with the usual N and crownmark.Something very unique about this box is its fantastic gold leaf interior (not cheap gold tone paint).I have only seen a few other Capodimonte boxes done like this on the interior. Overall this is just a really great and scarce 19th century powder box in good condition. It measures 4 inches in diameter and 2.75 inches in height.
