Antique SPM German Porcelain Figurine Salt Dish / Shell vase. Signed and Marked on Bottom. The inner shell the figurine is holding has a inside chip due to age and wear. Hard to see when displayed. EXCELLENT CONDITION! MEASURES: 5\" x 4 1/4\" x 3 1/2\". PLEASE WAIT FOR INVOICE!----------------The initials stand for ‘Schmeisser Porzellan Manufaktur’, founded in 1865 the factory started off with 30 workers and mainly produced tea & coffee sets. SPM is often mistaken for the well-knownSchumannfrom Berlin-Moabit as the marks are very similar. The Royal Porcelain Factory KPM marks have similar basis. This SMP factory closed around 1910 and unfortunately not much information was recorded.
