PFSazikov, merchant of the third guild, was the owner of a small workshop inMoscow, which several decades later turned into a vast enterprise with a branchin St. Petersburg. In1810, Sazikov became the owner of a factory for the production of a variety ofsilver products, in 1837 - receives the title of court supplier, and in 1842the St. Petersburg branch of the factory was opened.
Sazikov\'sfirm was the first jewelry company in Russia, which turned to Russian historyand art in its products and was one of the main designers of the\"Russian\" style. Manyfamous artists and sculptors were involved in the work, and foreign experienceand equipment were used.
Theproducts successfully competed with the works of the best jewelers in Europe,the company Sazikov was considered one of the best in the middle of the XIXcentury, had honorary diplomas, small and large gold medals for the All-Russianexhibitions of artistic and industrial goods in 1835, 1849, 1853, 1861, 1865, aswell as a large gold medal and the Order of the Legion of Honor for worldexhibitions in London in 1851 and in 1867 in Paris.
