This fine quality novelty chatelaine vinaigrette scent bottle perfume flask measures 80mm (3.25\") x 25mm (1\") across the vinaigrette lid and weighs 30 grams. It dates to around the 1870\'s and is marked inside the lid S. Mordan & Co London with the design registration diamond above and the central link on the suspension chain is marked .375 9ct, the horn is unmarked and not gold and is richly gilded to match the suspension chain. The moth piece unscrews to reveal the perfume holder and the hinged lid reveals the vinaigrette with a simple lift out grill. As you would expect from Mordan it has a great quality feel to it and is in good antique condition with the contemporary initials IC to the lid and no restorations.
