…. Pressmark of P. Ipsen was used only during 1850-1870. This wonderful Danish Ipsen art pottery vase features a matte set of lava glaze colors ranging from an overall pre-classic Ipsen burnt orange highlighted with greens and yellow matte finishes. Has a look of a ripe russet pear… Vase is 5 inches tall by 5 inches at its widest diameter. The opening diameter is 1 1/2 inches. Excellent overall condition; blacklight shows no repairs, no hairlines and no crazing. Bottom is marked as pictured: P. Ipsen, København (Copenhagen) and a hard to decipher number: 488 (?).
