This amazing dagger is the best item, which I acquired during my last Euro trip for antiques. I found it when I was wandering through the famous Vanves flea market in Paris. The twilight was beginning to fall, when I stopped to look at the stall of a tall and, to be honest, quite hairy, old man. He had a lot of interesting things - antique lanterns, pocket watches, military knives, buckles and masks... But I wasn\'t so interested in them, because I have a lot similar items and, also, his prices were kinda higher than usual. I wasn\'t very impressed, so I asked him if he had anything more special. He smiled and brought up a dirty cotton bundle. When he put it on the table and unfolded it, the wonderful dagger appeared. The guy explained (with his strange Franco-Scottish accent) that he took the item from his home country. According to his story, the dagger is old relic from a Scottish masonic lodge and was used for special rituals. He told me that the whole thing is made of brass, except for the blade, which is steel or some kind of iron. As you can see, the blade is the most visibly used part of the dagger - some crooked and worn off places are visible. When I asked him about the statuette, which the handle represents, the guy said that he isn\'t quite aware of its story. He thought that the brass man is more of a symbol, than a real person connected to the lodge. The case is also made of brass, with a masonic symbol engraved on it by hand. The man told me that the age of the dagger is more than a century, and perhaps the case has been restored or polished sooner. I was very impressed by the story, so, after a 30 minute bargain we shook our hands. When I came back to Bulgaria, I had the feeling that my whole trip wasn\'t in vain. I was satisfied with this gorgeous dagger, and I hope you will be satisfied too!
