Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon by Robert Keay

A really nice large \'fiddle pattern\' spoon by the highly regarded Perth Silversmith Robert Keay (1791-1825), which is in very good overall condition although it has a tiny ding in the bowl and a scratch to the underside (too small for the camera to really pick it up, but just mentioning to be totally accurate).

The hallmarks are still crisp and clear, which reflects the overall condition of this finePerthSilver Serving Spoon.It has been engraved with a monogram, which I think is the initial \'K\'(please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).

This fine quality spoon has the following dimensions: it is approx\' 9\" or approx\' 227mm long; and itmeasuresapprox 46mm across the bowl, while weighing 70 grams. It is therefore likely that this substantial solid silver spoon was made as a serving spoon, or a basting spoon.

A great piece of Scottish Provincial Silver that would grace any collection, or equally a smart investment for the future.
