Pre 1900s

This quilt has different jewel tone silk pieces set in a log cabin pattern with black. Very beautiful pattern. Victorian.

It has a floral backing with two narrow panels that measure 29 1/4\" and 30 1/2\", which indicates a c1900 or earlier date of the chintz roses backing.

It is hand bound.

It measures 66 1/4\" x 59 3/4\"

There is shredding and tears throughout, some of the pieces are shedding silk, there are a couple spots ranging from pin dot to rice size, a printer flaw or fading on the back as shown in the photos.

Because of the delicate nature of this quilt, we did not launder. It would be best to air out in the springtime, on fresh green grass.
