Burgundy silk tapestry hand embroidered gold threading. A very delicate type of roumanian stitch borders the piece. I believe this piece to be a wedding gift, as there is a lot of romantic symbolism within the details. Two magpies, the pine tree, and wood oil tree especially jump out at me. The gold couching is held in place with a fine orange thread. This item was purchased at a fine art collector\'s estate sale. It was framed before it was purchased by me and I am unaware of what the of the tapestry looks like, but appears in the bottom left corner to have a gold border. I have not removed from the frame in fears of damaging. I am no expert by any means, but appears to be in very good condition. There are a few frayed threads in spots, especially on the white border. There is a spot with a loose orange thread near the bottom left. The frame has some damage in areas, such as chips to paint, wear, and some scratches. The paper backing has a large tear in the bottom right corner.I try my best to accurately describe potential flaws. However, please be sure to view photos for further detail.
