Antique Silver 19th Century European Pill or Snuff Box with Enamel Portrait :
$195.00

This is an elegant and beautiful small pill / snuff box thought to be an 800 Silver from the 19th Century. The lid of this pill box appears to be enamel and shows a young man on one knee getting water from a lion fountain into a wooden keg or bucket and handing a mug of water to a beautifully dressed young woman. This is a piece of art! The silver the piece is made from has not been test and was thought to be 800 Silver 19th Century. There appears to still be some light dusting of pill/powder in the box. Upon 5x lighted magnification both the main box and the lid have the marks \"1\" and what appears to be a partial \"2\". The box is approximately 1-7/8 inches x 1-3/4 inches x 3/8 of an inch thick.
This is an amazing collectors piece that you don\'t see every day.
