Sporting interest. A handsome antique sterling silver cup with the centre column modelled as 3 tennis racquets. With a presentation inscription for the SKF tennis cup. Good weight. The cup stands on a removable wooden stand mounted with a sterling silver band inscribed with the winners from 1927 to 1980.

Weight of cup over 1000 grams, over 32 troy ounces.

Height 27 cms, 34 cms (with plinth).

Diameter 20 cms.

Maker James Dixon & Sons (cup and Martin Hall & Co (base).

Condition: This lovely cup is in good condition with no restoration. The top edge of the cup has a slight ripple. The silver mount on the base has a few creases. The engraving and silver marks are crisp and clear to read. The cup and cover are original to each other however the top is dated 1926, maker James Dixon and the base is dated 1927, maker Martin Hall.Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
