Antique silver /silver plated sweet meat Empire styled/Egyptian compote raised bowl.Glass bowl is wheel cut, you can see wheel marks on glass, construction is a total of 8 separate pieces: bowl and 7 silver pieces, base is hallmarked but I am not familiar with them so I cannot determine if sterling or silver plated. In excellent condition, glass has no chips, cracks or repairs, silver is intact and shows no signs of repairs. Dimensions are approximately: 5\" H X 6 1/2 W X 3 7/8 D. Design had two winged sphinx figures, leaves and berries, clawed feet. Very finely detailed. Pictures are from a 23 megapixel camera, note exquisite detail.
