Wonderful Victorian solid sterling silver 7 bar toast rack of very generous proportions, hallmarked from Birmingham in 1878 with the makers mark being that of John Gilbert, it also has a family crest at one end which we have not researched.

Tartan bow shown in any images is not included with the sale of the item.

Condition is excellent but should be noted there is some movement on 3 or 4 of the spars, these are in no danger of falling out or anything and we would not call it damage, its merely general wear where they have slightly loosened off over the years.

An impressive large example which measures 168mm in length and stands 132mm tall.
