This small Sterling Silver tray is in very nice condition. Unfortunately, I do not have the glass insert that would have originally been in it. It has the monogram plate on the front; however, it has not been inscribed. The bottom side r is stamped with the inscripton \"THE METCALF\" .It is also marked STERLING and there is a maker\'s mark on the bottom that appears to be a leaf design. I am not certain of the maker or age of the piece . The tray measures 6 1/2 inches outside to outside of handle and is 3 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches deep. The weight of the piece is 77 grams. This may have been used in a hotel dining room.
