This one is a quality antique sterling silver Albert pocket watch chain with graduated curb links, a t-bar and an ornate silver fob and a working dog catch. Each link of the graduated chain is hallmarked with the lion passant sterling silver mark. The bulls eye link is hallmarked for Birmingham 1898. The dog catch works well and closes tightly shut, and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1898 maker’s mark HB. The t-bar bears a hallmark for sterling silver Birmingham 1898 maker’s mark HH. The fine quality silver fob bears a raised empty cartouche. On the reverse of the fob we can read a hallmark for sterling silver Birmingham 1912 maker’s mark V&S.
Weighs in at 70.2 grams approx.
Measurements: 13 inches long approx. Not including the extra 2 inches of chain attached to the fob.
Condition: The lion passant is hard to read on some links, some scratches and a bit of general wear. Please see photos.
