Very good quality sterling silver water jug, fully hallmarked in London in 1916 with the makers mark for the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company of 112 Regent Street W, London. Engraved from Major General G.M.Franks to Major M.N.T.Gubbins, on his wedding 1917. I believe they served in the Royal Artilliary. Beautifully made by expert silversmiths, in good condition with a little surface usage and a couple of shallow dings. Height 7ins width 6.1/2ins or 17.75cms x 16.5cms. The weight is 546.7gms.
