This is a rare Spanish Colonial presidio soldier\'s ( aka \"Lancer\") hand forged iron lance head or spear point. 9\" inches long by 2\' wide, and in excellent solid condition. Dates to the mid 1700s . Presidio soldiers were distinguished from Spanish regulars not only in having been born and reared in the frontier provinces and thus adapted to harsh conditions.
