Here we have for your consideration is a antique handwritten copy book album done by ELEANOR G. POWERS containing 104 pages of entirely handwritten penmanship compositions and Spencerian calligraphy pen & ink drawings including several full page pen & ink flourishes and drawings done around 1900-1910. The album measures 7 x 8-1/4 and is entirely full with no blank pages, some of her compositions and recollections include the titles \"VOCATION\" including her version of the history of the church, \"ANGER\", \"WILLIAN THE CONQUEROR\", \"BABYLON\", \"CONVERSION\", \"LENT\", \"BLACK JIM\", \"HOW FRANK DID IT\", \"A PSALM OF LIFE\" and \"LIFE\" with each page hand done with beautiful penmanship and decorative accent drawings, there are also at least 9 full page calligraphy drawings and flourishes of birds. Unfortunately due to being limited to 12 picture images I can only show a small portion of the album but I wish I could show much more because the album is truly a work of art from start to finish. The album is in good condition exhibiting a cracked spline on the inside front cover and some bleeding of ink on some of the pages but none of this takes anything away from this wonderful one-of-a-kind album. The back page contains the names of Regina R. Dougherty, Mary C. Laughlin, Loretta Conroy, Mary C. Corcoran, Nellie W. Shallow, Cecilia C. Hall, Catherine Delaney and Catherine Coyle so with some research it shouldn\'t be too hard to find the subject of this album as to where she was from.
