DESCRIPTION: Old antique wood panel or plaque of what we think is a Russian or Greek Orthodox Saint. We are not sure which one. View the close-up photo of the old paper label nailed to the backside of the plaque. We are not sure if it is information about the saint, the artist or both. It has an old piece of what appears to be rawhide nailed to the back for hanging. It also appears to have numbers written in pencil. (see close-up photo). We found this icon in an old estate home that we purchased the contents of here in New Hampshire. We are not icon or religious experts so please ask any questions you may have and feel free to request additional photos before offerding or buying. Thank you.

MEASUREMENTS: Measures approx. 9 1/4\" high by 6 5/8\" wide by 1/2\" thick. Weight is approx. 13.4 ounces. (unpackaged).

BEFORE offerding or buying*

CONDITION:Preowned. Paint surfaces show crackling but no flaking. Appears to be old. Could probably use a cleaning, which we will leave to the experts. Old stained paper labelnothe backside is nailed on, as well as the rawhide piece. Has numbers written on the backside in pencil.
