Offered is a magnificent Edwardiansterling silver trinket box made by English silversmith, Henry Matthews (active 1894-1930). The box hasa simple, elegant lookand four cabriole legs. There are no monograms.The interior hasa darkblue plush lining with a leather rexine backing that shows signs of use and age. The box has an excellent silver gauge weighing 95 grams including its interior. Overall antiquecondition is excellent withone very slight crimp on the bottom edge of the top lid. The hinge is solid and works perfectly.The boxstands 2 inches tall and is 3 1/8 inches wide. It is fully hallmarked and dated 1910with aChester Assay Office\"M\".
