Sterling Silver Watch Fob
This rare watch fob was recently acquired at an estate sale of a longtime collector. It is appealing, desirable & extremely collectible. The Cincinnati Horseshoe & Iron Co. was financed by Colonel Hooven of Hamilton, Ohio in 1906. They started operation that same year. In 1907 they were producing 180,000 kegs of shoes annually. They had contracts supplying shoes to the U.S. Government. The rapid rise in popularity of the automobile spelled doom for the horseshoe industry. The company closed in 1927. We present this piece exactly as it was when acquired. It is in good condition. The antique script is clear & easily read. It is marked sterling directly underneath the strap hole loop. The leather strap is missing. Old watch fobs are popular & a fine collectible. This will make a great addition to any home, or serious collection.
