Antique 1880s brown transfer ironstone platter. This large oval piece is marked, the Lahore pattern by T&R Boote in the Staffordshire area of England. It measures 17 1/2\" x 11 3/4\" with a 2\" rim. Pattern is aesthetic period naturalistic with art and crafts flare. The plants in the center of the platter remind me of hops, though I cannot say for sure what they are. There are no cracks or chips, light staining and age related glaze crazing consistent with age and use. It is utilitarian ware, as such the condition is very good. Add it to your collection.
