Description: A rare and amazing 19th century Tibetan Ethnic Tribal Shaman sculpture, reflecting a stylistic interpretation of a female priestress \'Shaman\', elaborately depicting the primitive customs worn during early Tibetan animistic religion and culture. Measuring 8.0 inches (20.32cm) in height.
Bronze head of a tribal female Shaman, fashioned by a prominent ceremonial headdress, formed in the shape of a Trident, consisting of a complicated hair style, embellished with a decorative band of hanging conch shell pendants, rising to a tall pointed central finial, adorned with draped jeweled streamers, and flanked by mythical elements, woven to mimic a pair of buffalo\'s horns - a symbol of freedom and nomadic life.
xxxx The face emanates that of a festive ritual mask, with it\'s almond-shaped eyes slit through the middle, the exaggerated long nose, connected to relief-carved eyebrows, protruding bow-shaped lips, and cliffed chin.
