The inkwell is in nice condition with a beautiful patina. The inkwell is in nice condition(please refer to pictures for condition). The glass ink reservoir is free from any chips or cracks although there is an internal air bubble in the glass on the brim which does not come to the surface. There are some very superficial light scratches on the bottom of the inkwell. The inkwell has a great undisturbed patina with the lovely green oxidized background. The lid hinge is nice and tight and the lid seats nicely with the base rim. You actually have to exert a small amount of force to open the lid. I doubt if you would have any ink evaporation if you were to leave ink in the glass reservoir. The inkwell measures 6 & 3/4\" wide at the widest point by 3 & 1/2\" tall.
