There is some handcoloring in his suit, shirt, eyes, and background. There is even gold paint added for his buttons.
Please look at all of the photographs. Unfortunately I do not know the age of this tintype, the man who is pictured or the location where it was done. I would guess maybe late 1800s - early 1900s (?) As you can see from the provided photographs, the tintype has creases and bends at all of the corners, and it also has some scratches.
