Listing a group of 1850s/1860s photographs with cases tonight. This was an estate sale pickup from years ago, they came from the estate of a family named Badley just north of Baton Rouge - I know NOTHING about antique photographs except what I tried to learn off the web. That said, this one is clearly a tintype and the metal has the \"For Neff\'s Patent\" printing on it, with the date that I think is 1859, but I can\'t swear to that.
Haunting image of a young lady poised just before the start of the Civil War, very nicely done. Case itself has condition issues as shown, image seems pretty good.
