This is a jewel of a jar, for whatever useit was intended…likely a sugar bowl.The hand engraving is quite skillfully done. The silver rim has a barely perceptible ‘STERLING’ engravedin it, as well as a likely maker’s mark that is simply too worn to read.
The glass itself is in originalcondition, with no chips or cracks.The age and origin are uncertain.
It is simply a quite pretty piece!
