Beautiful 12k topaz Halley\'s comet pendant converted from a pin circa 1835. Topaz is colorless and 1.49 ct ( 6mm x 8mm). In wonderful shape. Pendant measures 1 1/8\" without bale, 1 1/4\" with bale. I do not see any chips on stone. It is in great shape , very white and sparkly. Chain is 10k and 18 inches. Beautiful on.The Victorians were symbolic in their jewelry and celebrated important life experiences such as the coming of Halley\'s Comet every 75 years. This brooch celebrated the 1835 appearance of the Halley\'s Comet.
