A stunning Victorian 18ct Gold Diamond Ring dating to c1878, which is gypsy set with a beautiful old cushion-cut Diamond of approx\' 0.30cts in a \'star\' shaped setting(please study the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the ring\'s description).
This wonderful Victorian Ring, which weighs 4.4 grams, is stamped inside the shank with a full British Hallmark confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in London in 1878. The Gold Tapered Band measures approximately 12.5mm wide measured across the Diamond set centrepiece tapering to approx\' 3.25mm at the back for the wearer\'s comfort.
Overall this fine qualityring is in great condition with wear commensuratewith age, as shown. Itis sized as a UK Ring Size \'M 1/2\', which equates to a US Ring Size \'6 1/2\'; as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.eit is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gaugedepending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring whenworn.
