Antique Victorian Moonstone Ring I absolutely adore Moonstones - the only downside is that they do not photograph well - you cannot see the pretty blue shimmer it has in real life and for which the best Moonstone is known for. Moonstones were favoured by the Pre-Raphaelite / Art Nouveau Jewellers and were popular around the late 1800\'s.This is a good quality ring made by James Swan of Birmingham and is C. 1890\'s. Well made it is in heavy yellow gold - solid 18ct with a pretty Gallerery open setting to let as much light in as possible and let the stones shine. The three stones are of excellent quality - nice and clear and are of course cabochon cut, each stone is sperated by two tiny diamonds - four in all.Stamped 18ct along with the makers mark.In excellent condition, this ring will come in a vintage style box that looks excellent for presentation.
