Antique Victorian Art Nouveau 9k Gold Floral Heart Cartouche Locket- SALE:

Beautiful antique Victorian locket from the late 1800\'s in 9k gold with an Art Nouveau look. Very ornate, very detailed- with a heart cartouche surrounded by a floral theme. The locket is about 3/4\" in diameter and weighs about 2.1g. I believe it is white gold but has a hint of yellow in it (not like the newer pieces that are rhodium plated and super white). It opens and closes great and is in good condition for its age- with a few dings and one dent on the heart. It appears that the number 17 is hand etched inside on both sides in Roman numerals but I do not know the significance of this. The inside of the heart can be engraved with an initial for added meaning and to make this wonderful antique your very own :) It is marked 9k front and back and is a beautiful very old piece that has gorgeous ornate work and is harder and harder to find. Very romantic!
