Antique Victorian Brown Silk Day Dress Bustle 2 Pc Gown Lace Edwardian Mint VtgIn near mint condition! Beautiful antique Victorian day dress in fine brown and black silk. Linen lined. Two pieces. The bodice is long sleeved, high collar. The collar is trimmed with black and brown floral Lace. Beautiful black lace trim at the end of the sleeves with lovely white lace underneath. Black silk trim on the wrists with pleated brown silk above the lace. Black silk taffeta bows on the chest with black silk inserts. The bottom of the bodice has a soft lovely V shape. 9 black silk buttons to fasten in the front. The back has ruffled coat tails with 8 black silk button accents. The skirt is full length and full with lovely large pleats and ruffles. The skirt is tiered like a cake with many layers. The waist band is ecru linen and fastens in the back with metal fish hooks. The back is bustled in two beautiful billows. Absolutely fabulous I amazing antique condition. Some small imperfections- small rips, tears, and stains. Some repairs, especially under the arms. Small holes in some places. Nothing major and is simply breathtaking. Museum quality. Please see photos. Approximate Measurements
