Early iron bracket for an oil lamp or kerosene light. It came from my mother\'s collection and it is unique and ornate. Notice unusual brass reinforcement plate on both sides at the bend in the iron. Matching wall mount unit. Measures 10 inches long not including wall mount. I have not cleaned it in any way so the original \"patina\" is yours to decide upon.I have been asked about the brass supports. There appears to be no weakness in that area or cracks. I would say that the brass may be original to piece,placed there maybe to be decorative and supportive.
