This is a lovely Antique Victorian,sterling silverhallmarked at the rare Chester assay office in 1896, name brooch which has seen better days and could be worn although would benefit from some repair.The name used to read Maggie but some of the gold accent work has worn away.
The brooch has a full set of hallmarks with makers BH, the wheat sheaves for Chester assay office, the lion for sterling silver and date letter N for 1896.The length is 4.3 cm ( One and three quarter inches ) and the pin and C clasp are original and in good working condition.If when you receive your winning item and for any reason are not happy with the purchase please get in touch before leaving response and I will endeavour to resolve any issue you may have amicably.
