This is a Lovely Sewing Needle Case / Etui From Around the 1880\'s......The Victorian Period
It is Made From a Quality Brass in an Oval Cylindrical Shape with Ornate Embossed Detailing with 2 Clasps On The Side.......See Photographs
It Opens on a Hinge To Reveal an Embossed Burgundy Velvet Fabric Interior ...It Houses a Brass Holder That Has 2 Small Wooden Cotton Reels Slotted On & Has A Brass Thimble At The End & It Screws Undone At One End That Could Hold Needles, Pins or Small Buttons Etc .....See Photographs
It Measures Approx 6.5cms (2 1/2\") Long x Approx 2.4cms (1\") Round at the Widest Point....It Weighs Approx 35.3gs (1.24 ozs)
It is in Good Condition For Its Age ....The Hinge Is Secure & It Closes Tightly.....See Photographs
