Antique Victorian Floral Repoussé Sterling Silver Handle Whisk Broom, Gorham?:

First off, this is not my area of expertise, so please ask questions if in doubt! I will describe the item to the best of my knowledge! Item: This is a beautiful antique whisk broom with intricately detailed sterling silver handle.
Markings: It does have a monogram, but I can\'t read the initial, possibly an R or K? It has 3 areas that are stamped with information. The first section to the left has three characters. the 1st one I cannot read, the 2nd looks like a cross, the 3rd looks like the letter G, which I have been told stands for Gorham, although I am not positive. The next section says Sterling. The section to the right says C52.
Size: It measures almost 10.25\" in length including straw. The handle alone is about 4.5\" long and 2.5\" wide.
Condition: I have not cleaned it so it has a natural patina. The straw is somewhat worn as can be seen in the photos. No noticeable damage to the handle. It has been well cared for!
This would be a lovely addition to your home or would also make a wonderful gift!
