For sale is a GORGEOUS antique Inkwell from France. This inkwell dates to the 19th century and is in Victorian design. This snail / bascule inkwell is made of porcelain and brass and features a rotating chamber that can close once the ink is not needed (see photo 4). What really makes this piece stand out are the gilded accents on the white chamber.This piece is in very good condition considering its age. The brass has a beautiful patina and I will let the buyer decide whether they want to polish it. There are three small chips along the rim of the plate (see second to last photo).
