Beautiful Victorian fur hood with collar or caplet. I believe this is beaver? The fur is short. This bonnet has a nice wide hood and ties, and has a button closure. The ties run through the hood so it can be made wide to pretty fitting. Has a hook and eye closure, then once tied the collar acts as a cape. It comes around the shoulder and buttons with one button. The ties and button have wear. Ties show holes and buttons material is worn. Ties can eventually be replaced easily. The button loop is still intact. The lining is intact with a few snags/marks and some loose stitching. Can be mended by hand. This is an amazing Victorian piece. Soft fur. No shedding! Ties measure around 22\" when let fully out. This is for the 2 visible ribbons only. The hood fully open measures around 30\"! The cape width is 7\" from hood seam to end on shoulder tops. The front is 6.5\" from hook closure down when buttoned. The back is 6\" from hood seam to end.
Shoulders measured from end to end of cape is about 17.5\" (measured at backside across). Shown on a small bust. Very rare and adorable wearable piece! Please ask if any questions. See images.
