Antique Victorian Lovely Sequins Beads Rose Bud Heavy Silk Bustle Skirt Mourning:

Gorgeous Victorian bustle skirt. Made of silk with a flower or rose bud design. Trimmed with sequins, French Jet and mesh trim. The hem is lined with a wide velvet trim. Skirt is in good wearable condition with some age. The trim has lost beads, sequins and some mesh. It does still have sparkle left! The waist band is still good and strong.The outter shell is still very black and shines nicely in the light. It is hard to get a happy medium for lighting with my camera. There are some separations scattered on the shell but very minimal to none. There is one in the front that is approx. 2\" (image 3). The lining has tatters/separations and feels like a blend, and could be removed if you wanted. The back hook and eye area (image 7) also has some seperations, but could be mended. The waist has 3 hook and eyes and 2 hooks to attack another portion of clothing (bodice or jacket). This has not been cleaned and will need airing and a possible press if you so choose.This has a very nice weight and has lots of material. it could be altered for a wider waist or a shorter skirt. Measures 48\" down the center back and 42\" center front. Waist measures 24\".
