This stunning Victorian purse is such an excellent example on an antique bag, it was purchased from a museum collection in Pennsylvania and still has it\'s museum catalog number tag inside. The ornate repousse frame is solid German silver (800) and features a man and woman playing instruments, and other neoclassical elements. The silver frame has a chain leading to a matching chatelaine, which would have hooked on a ladies sash. The bag is made from macrame and black glass beads, with complete fringe around the side and bottom of the purse. Lined in leather. There is an inscription of the inside of the purse frame, \"E. P. M. Wallace\".

The purse is in very nice condition - which is rare for a beaded bag that more than 110 years old!
