Another very special piece out of the estate with incredible Chinese furniture and artifacts.This is a large mirrored Chinese travel chest made from huanghuali hardwood (a rosewood) and features 6 drawers and two hidden compartments. The drawers have brass ovoid pulls.The top section of the piece lifts up to reveal a rectangular mirror framed. The mirror folds away for storage. Front part of the box opens and hinges back to reveal the 3 drawers with 1 drawer underneath. Thedrawers over 7\"inches long (measurements to follow). One drawer has a keyhole. The swingoutsection show a drawer and there is a hidden compartment by pulling forward the top of section(see pictures). This is a very special piece. It is the largest I have seen. The wood has beautifulsheen. It is missing one of the iron handles on the side. It is perfect otherwise.Please see the bottom toseethe age and the wonderful construction.
