For sale is a beautiful antique ornate Victorian Silverplated Handled and Footed Bride\'s Basket / Centerpiece.
The basket has a hallmark on the inside rim which I have not been able to identify.
There is no monogram.
The exquisite design features trailing vines and leaves around the scalloped and pointed edge. The 8 raised inside panels also have vines and leaves that are chased and repoussed.The handle folds to either side.
Measures 10 1/2\" tall to the handle top and 5 1/2\" tall to the basket rim. It is 12 1/4\" in diameter and weighs 3 lbs . The base is weighted.
It is in good condition. The basket displays very well but has some issues. The inside basket portion has minor variations in the silverplate color, but it has not worn through to the copper. The under side of the basket has some faint wear through on the ribs. The foot has places of wear through to the copper. There is a minor chip on one point of the basket and the basket foot sits slightly askew and has a slight wobble. Tiny dents in handle and foot.
Please check the photos for the condition and details. Selling this basket as is due to some plating wear.
There may be some old polish remaining in the crevices. It could use additional polishing if desired.
