Material Tests positive for sterling silver, natural Agate

This brooch has a colorful design with natural Agate in a variety of colors and patterning. The central stone is raised from the base and the piece is 1/2\" thick at its thickest point. The central stone is black and carved, there may be a couple of tiny chips to the center stone or it may be original to the carving - I\'m not sure but it is noticeable only upon very close inspection. There are no other irregularities to the Agate and the surfaces are smooth and gleaming. There are no signs of solder or repair and the silver has a bright patina. Overall this is a well made and striking sterling silver and Agate brooch, that is from the Victorian era and is in Excellent condition.
