A very handsome engraved visiting card case by Edward Smith, 1844.

The front of the case beautifully engraved with an unidentified lake scene.

The rear of the case with stylised acanthus leaves and cartouche.

Comes complete with original tooled leather and velvet lined case.

Hallmarked to rim for Edward Smith, Birmingham, 1944.

A very high quality and attractive early Victorianpiece.

Condition

Antique condition with expected wear.

Some dings, especially to corners.

Engraving is clear with very little rubbing.
