Antique Early 19th Centuary Tea Caddy.This Stunning tea caddy is very typical of the late geogian and early victorian era. The box is made from wood with a black laquer and gold painnted Chinese/ far east designes. The inside is in very good condition with original lining, but no lids. The box is in very good condition and features a lock but no key, this was due to the high price of tea in the era. This is a wonderful piece of history and a beautiful box in its own right. It is in very good condition for the age with some signs of age but nothing to serious given it is over 150 years old, most of the wear is on the base. The base has a makers mark which looks like A.G Grant? but it is not the clearest. Overall dimensons of the piece are 10\"X5.5\"X4.5\".This piece will be set via royal mail signed for within the uk.
