Offered is a beautiful original Civil War Era Waist Cincher orCorset Belt, Circa 1840.It is all black, indicative of a possible mourning piece. Featuresgorgeous interweavingruns of three black velvet ribbons tied in bows at the center andclasp area.

Dimensions when laying flat and clasped as if wearing it are: 12\" wide x 7\" tall (this would be for a smaller waist)

In good condition with no noticeable tears, wear, or repair. Thereis some slight fraying at the edges of the ribbon (please see last photo where finger is pointing).Comes from a smoke free, pet free home.
